At BRC, we are committed to the training and professional development of our technical staff. Not only do we invest in technology training and manufacturer training, but we also provide them with plenty of hands-on experience with technologies they service.
Rob Morris, CTS
Service Technician
Rob has been a Service Technician at AVI Systems since 1996. Throughout his career with AVI Systems, he has worked as a Departmental Supervisor and Lead Technician. Rob has developed a broad skill set in electronic repair; this includes but is not limited to Digital Betacam, Betacam SP, DVCam, and DV base video formats including emergent HD products. Rob's ability to locate and replace the smallest electronic defect helps enable effective cost control to you the customer. Rob's motto is "Save the Patient!". He takes great pride in providing cost effective solutions to his clients. If you are looking to extend the life of your aging equipment, Rob is your guy.
Rob enjoys the challenges and rewards of finding ways to help his clients succeed. His high level of electromechanical aptitude and attention to detail led him to his career at AVI Systems.

Tim Savik, CTS
Service Technician
Tim has a degree in Electronics Technology as well as an Associate Arts Degree. Tim has been with AVI Systems since 2000 and has worked in technical repair for 16 years. He is passionate and dedicated to his job; always looking to improve his skill set and learn new product lines; particularly when it comes to DV, HDV and DVCam, DVCPro and Betacam SP. Tim's extensive list of training certificates confirms his dedication.

Phillip Frye, CTS
Service Technician
Phillip came to AVI Systems in 1998 with years of experience as an Engineer for a major television station in Minneapolis. He holds a degree in Electronics from Brown College. Phillip is a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) and continues to get manufacturer training every year to enhance his knowledge as a service technician.

Orlando Havlicek, CTS
Service Technician
Orlando is a skilled veteran in the AV industry, starting with AVI Systems back in 1982 as a service technician. He holds a degree in Electronics from 916 Vocational. Orlando is CTS certified and is a wiz at figuring out any type of problem, even on equipment he has not had any training. He works directly with customers to help them resolve their service issues. He is a solid relationship builder that stays in touch with clients to make sure their service needs are met.

Mike Wallin, CTS
Design Engineer
Mike came to AVI Systems in 2005 with three years as a Studio Engineer for Northwestern College and a Freelance Videographer/Editor/IT Support. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcasting and Electronic Media from Northwestern College. Mike started at AVI Systems as an Installation Technician then moved to the Service Department to work as a Service Technician. For the last two years, he has worked in Engineering designing and supporting Studios, Headends, Edit Suites, Conference Rooms, Streaming and Network Video solutions.

Dave Pecha, CTS-I
Service Technician
Dave joined AVI Systems in 1999 after more than eighteen years in the broadcast and audio visual industry. Prior to coming to AVI Systems he worked as a Broadcast Engineer for a local television station and production studio. He holds a degree in Electronics from NEI and is a Certified Technical Specialist in Installation (CTS-I). Since he has been with AVI Systems he has had many hats; installation technician, project manager and service technician. Dave is an expert at understanding client repair needs and recommending the ultimate service solution.
